Third mobilities and wellbeing focus group in Birmingham completed!

Lozells lads tell us how they move about their neighbourhood and city

On 19 February 2014, we were in the inner-city ward of Lozells & East Handsworth in Birmingham, holding the third of our focus groups about mobilities and wellbeing. Over a 2-hour period, we had the 9 participants -- all of whom lived in the local area -- undertake four activities that helped us understand how they moved around their neighbourhood and city, the barriers they faced in moving around and what needs to change to make their mobility choices more low-carbon. We also asked them about their current quality of life and how the environment in which they live affects their wellbeing. In all, the lads were incredibly bright and energetic, and gave us a lot of interesting insights into life in Lozells. Wonderful stuff!
